Before & After School

School Age Children

Iowa's Child Early Learning Community offers a safe, convenient program for after-school hours, school holidays, summer, and other school closings. We provide a nurturing, stimulating, and fun environment where children further their learning experiences and explorations in a safe monitored environment.

Convenient Transportation

Our centers drop off and pick up children from neighborhood schools at the beginning and end of each school day, including days when there is early dismissal. We transport to and from Madison Elementary, Cattell Elementary, Findley Elementary, and Oak Park Elementary. We provide a nutritious afternoon snack each day while kids are able to socialize with their friends.

Variety of Other Activities

Children are also given the opportunity to play word and board games, create arts and crafts projects, participate in music and movement activities, and provided with plenty of free play opportunities. Teachers take children outside for neighborhood walks or to local parks or playgrounds when weather permits.

Homework Help

Homework help and guidance with daily homework, reading, studying, and special projects is offered by our staff. They work with children one-on-one or in small groups to complete their school assignments.

Summer Programs

Summer at Iowa's Child Early Learning Community provides your child a safe environment to learn, play and explore during those long summer days. Children are able to construct their own knowledge through themed fun and learning experiences that include fieldtrips, kid-crafted projects, free play, and much, much more. With four field trips each week and planned activities all throughout the day, your children will stay engaged and active during the long days of summer.
